Shying away from the debates is not a tactic that wins

Huntsman asked about family business (chemical company). Says it's a good company, created jobs but EPA "regulatory reign of terror" kills manufacturing.

Bachmann asked for voting against "Cut, Cap & Balance" and the debt ceiling debate. Defends not raising the debt ceiling. Avoids hard question of what would've happened.

Cain said raising the debt ceiling was the easy way out and S&P sent that message. Explained .

Newt said Bernanke and the Fed should be audited. Everything from 07-09 so we know who was bailed out, how much, how high, and who was not. Says Fed is "primary villain" in not having sound monetary policy.

Ron Paul says you can phase out the Fed, needs to be audited, says the Fed causes the business cycle problems.

Paul needs a special category. He’s not bad. He’s energetic and honest.

Agreed on all points. Santorum is a man of principle. The answer on abortion was not popular, but it is one that Jesus would approve. Good for him.

That one dimension will not get him to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Yes, and let’s try very hard to forget that she said “she will never run a TRADITIONAL CAMPAIGN”!

IIRC, in one of the ‘08 campaigns, Romney was asked if he had pre-marital sex with his wife.

I think people are underestimating Paul. There are segments of the Tea Party that are sick of these wars and he’s appealing to them.

Newt is a pro and I would have expected nothing less. I would NEVER want him for president though. Too much baggage and too much bad history behind him.

He is a great debater though!

My mantra for Cain, and what he stands for:

We need to solve problems, not just stir them around in the pot.

And we need to create jobs for people in this country not jealousy.

Newt came back tonight. Michelle held ground, maybe improved her standing. Tpaw is cooked - came across as nasty and vile. Santorium is a nice guy, but not presidential. Cain is okay, but sounds a little niave, although I did like it when he said bigger dividends might be an okay thing to do with repatriated corporate funds.

No one damaged Romeny - too bad.
