Police Let Flash Mob Loot 7-11 A 7-11 in Montgomery County, Maryland was hit by a flash mob on August 13, 2011. The clerk activated a silent alarm, but police waited until the mob left the store before responding. Further, according to the video, the officer refused to investigate the crime, and only viewed this incident as shoplifting.
Like somebody said, nowadays the police are basically secretaries with guns. And yes I was in law enforcement way back.
This lack of response is what will cause the behavior to go viral. If the shopkeeper had access to a gun and used it to shoot out a window all those hoodlums would have taken off quickly.
As is already the case in the UK, we are in danger of becoming a country where the police do not arrest the criminals — they arrest the citizens who stand up to the criminals.
that’s odd, I did a search for flash mob and didn’t see it somehow.
An old friend calls them Tax Collectors.
At one time I strongly disagreed with him, but I am now agreeing more and more with his definition.
Leroy and Tawanna strike again.
When this 7-11 closes they will wonder why.
When the police will no longer respond, it will be time for the homeowner and business owner to take matters into their own hands. Lock and load. First “flash mobber” through the door sees the flash from a 357!! Bet the rest of the mob will not come through the door.
“the police are basically secretaries with guns”
except when a juicy asset forfeiture offers a profitable opportunity to dress up like soldiers for a SWAT raid.
When the Flash Mob enters the owner should leave and lock the door behind him, and call the police.
They would probably kick out the door ,but with luck one of them might cut an artery.
I’m sure the owner of the 7/11 feels likes he was ripped off twice.....once from the losers who ransacked his store, and once from the loser cops.....after all, his tax money goes to pay their salaries and benefits, and eventually, their pensions.
Is it not amazing - flash mobs, wilding, and whatever else the lame stream media calls these actions - it is nothing more the NTOOC!!
Actually, this illustrates a fundamental principle behind firearms ownership: The police are NOT INTENDED to protect us directly from crime, rather they are supposed to apprehend criminals, after a crime is committed. With organized crime like this, nothing the police can do but try to find the perps, and most importantly, find who organized it—and throw the book at them.
I watched the vid, and these thugs were in and out of the store in less than 2 minutes. Even if the police had been around the corner, NO WAY they could of gotten there in time.
If on the other hand the shop owner had a shotgun...well, things may have been different.
