I can forgive someone for voting for Carter in ‘76. But I cannot forgive them for voting for Carter again in ‘80. And there is no way I can forgive anyone for voting for Mondale in ‘84.
Then I guess it would be interesting to ask Perry who he voted for in those elections, because right now, no one seems to have any evidence one way or another - just assumptions.

Once I got married and started earning a living, I changed and continued to become more and more conservative.
