No, he does, he just doesn’t call them earmarks.

i had to hold my nose to vote for GWB in his last two runs. Didn’t vote for his dad in his second run. Read my tag line. It is true! Bush prepared the way for Obama. He ignored our immigration laws; he should have gone after Iran, not Iraq. Actually, we should have stayed out of the middle East. We aren’t going to change those peopoe, but “peaceful” as they are, the Muslims are bent on changing us!
WE should be vetting our own candidates very carefully. We really do not need no more stinkin’ Bushs! And if Perry stays in we might just end up with another one! But I would vote for Perry over a Bush any day.

I’m just thoroughly disgusted by the utter lack of courage I see from “conservatives” who refuse to question his record.

The hope and change crowd has been reborn on the right.

I don’t like Huntsman but at least he’ll say “Yes, I back Civil Unions” instead of this non-sense that Perry and Romney push...... I won’t vote for either but I at least I know who Huntsman is and he doesn’t hide it (a RINO) while our frontrunners are phonies.

Insanity. So let a perfect Marxist win because at least he's honest about wanting to destroy the country?

If you dig into the details, the majority of the funds were to cover expenses incurred by Texas on behalf of FedGov mandated programs. They toss these unfunded mandates out there and leave the states to figure it out.

Tadslos, they took Texas’ money and Perry got it back.

Taking federal education money in Ohio does not mean that Kasich supports the department of education.

It means that, until he can change it, he’ll use the system that’s currently in place.

Unilateral disarmament is a dumb, dumb idea.

I don’t see how this matters much, its not like anyone we send will seriously be able to cut down the federal goverment even if they were inclined.

Perry may or may not be inclined now, it doesn’t matter for a federal official at this stage in the game.

Our sword must come from outside of Washington, it must be our States taking the power from Washington not Washington “voluntarily” giving it back.

Anything Washington “gives back” it can take back.

I’m not referring to Federal stimulus money. I’m referring to Texas taxpayer money being used to subsidize businesses within the state for contractual promise of jobs as part of his ETF and TEF programs. Rick is failing to apply sound due diligence with Texas taxpayers money while taking campaign contributions from some of the benefactors of his programs. Rick’s no better than Obama in this case. He certainly isn’t applying conservatism to that effort. Rick’s just another big government spending RINO.

Unilateral disarmament is a dumb, dumb idea.

That's a great point. Also, circular firing squads and fragging are poor offensive maneuvers on the battlefield.

Perry was very good during the Stimulus nonsense on "unfunded mandates." Does anyone remember that? Part of the "secession" talk was spun out of that debate. Where Perry was trying to "refuse federal money" which pols everywhere pilloried him for.

Except the position he took was that he was refusing stimulus money when it was a short term FEDERAL infusion that would then require STATE FUNDING when the federal money inevitably ran out.

Yeah. But I'm with the Perry-haters here I guess....if he can't beat that point into peoples' heads, then I can't do much for him either.

Thats not even close to what I said. A more honest discussion would be great. Several points against my opinions have been made and thats what this forum is for. But that is a ridiculous twisting of my words. I said I respected an honest moderate more than a faux conservative. And I stick by that. That has nothing to do with who I’d vote for when I already said there are suitable conservatives in the race.

Ellipsis points are a b!tch, eh? Perry would probably appreciate a more honest discussion of these issues as well.

La Rue Tactical (sigh). Their OBR is on my wish list. It’s what every girl wants. Well, I also want a US Armament Corp replica 1877 Bulldog Gatling Gun in Brass, but it’s $36,000, and I would never be able to afford all the ammo it could eat, and spit out.
