I was awakened this morning with a phone call telling me Israel had been attacked. All day, I have been on the far side of the moon. Seeing this interview was like taking a valium. At least I smiled and felt a little better about the world for awhile.

After hearing a couple of perry’s *women* jokes about his own wife, I don’t think he has any respect for women at all.
I’m so sorry and sad for Israel. I was up early (for me) and watched news about the attacks with pain in my heart.

I think you are right. His smart arse/psuedo threat about “hoping she makes the right decision” points at his true character or lack of.
Yeah. Sure sounded like a threat. What is he gonna do? Use brass knuckles?
He was taking his jacket off and flippantly said to the audience, “If this shirt is WRINKLED, don’t blame my wife.”
I’m like, “WHAT?????? You chauvinist pig!”
And of course, the baby wanted to know what’s a chauvinist. oy.
The GOP NEEDS a house dropped on them. They have become more liberal than most 1980 era Democrats. I would love to see her treat with all the respect they have earned and deserve. If/when she is elected, they will have a clear choice to make. Side with the voters that put her in power despite the GOP’s best efforts to minimize her, or side with the LibDems who the country will have totally rejected and her election would prove.
Short version: They play along or she does just what RR did and she’s done all along - go straight to the public and bypass them altogether. Gonna suck to be them.

More takeaways... UNlike Santorum, she didn’t attack Perry for his choice of words when he critiicized Bernanke.
Also noticed that she has obviously working with a voice coach, and it is paying off. Her tone of voice is much lower, more even, and more “presidential.”
