The trees have to be in a weakened condition...hurricane would be really scary.

I live in "the piney woods" and our trees are stressed.

Some of mine are dying, but they have fewer leaves to catch the wind. Sort of a tradeoff.

Worst tree loss I’ve ever seen came after a real wet spring and summer. Neighbor lost all but one of their big trees, took out the power but missed the house. Then a front came in and took out the last one. That one punched an eight inch limb through the roof.
