But let's examine the scenario that you've posed:
I'm downtown, enjoying dinner in a somewhat unfamiliar area, and I'm accosted by a flash mob. A couple of them start beating on me. I pull out my concealed Glock 29, which I have a license for (obviously), and I shoot them. I get in my car, which is a couple of blocks away from the incident, and I light up a cigarette. I have a smoke for a bit, and I eventually remember that I have my cell phone in my pocket (darn, I'm so forgetful), and I call the police to report the unfortunate fact that I've had to shoot two nice gentlemen in self-defense.
Now, they get there in about 6 minutes because I reported a shooting, and the two thugs are probably dead because I've aimed for center mass. From six feet, I'm a pretty good shot. Anyway, I go back to the scene, because I wanted to avoid the homies that you were talking about, and I meet the police there. The police take the report, maybe they take me to the station for some further questioning, but they eventually release me later that night because preliminary evidence indicates the shooting was self-defense and justified. I then drive back to my house in my nice suburban neighborhood, and pat myself on the back for making the world a better place.
And we all lived happily ever after.
Not that they wouldn't be able to find out from other ways, but you do realise that the MSM will use your story as the main lede for showing the crime increases in the area - along with your name and address. Stay alert.
And we all lived happily ever after.
Should it occur, I sincerely hope that happens.
