We’re 1/3 the way down on a rolling hillside that used to be pasture about a mile from the Octorora. The road is up near the top. There are some old oaks across the street and I hope they hold through the storm. I’ve got norway spruce wind breaks on the north, east and partially on the west - they have worked well in the past. I’m praying that the power doesn’t go out but I know that would be a minor miracle.
I’m looking for that minor miracle here too. My biggest fear, an extended power outage. The 2nd biggest fear is having to get down my driveway with a bunch of poplars in my way. Luckily, I have a place to go if I can get there that has food, water, beer and a warm shower in the above scenario.
