A warming climate and an aging population will bring a rise in heat-related deaths over coming decades in California, a new, state-sponsored study says, with heat waves rising in dangerousness as well as frequency.
“The frequency of heat waves is expected to go up, and it could be rather dramatic,” said Laurence Kalkstein, a co-author of the study at the University of Miami.
The report used two climate models, three socio-economic scenarios and multiple projections of population levels to make a range of estimates.
The range is meant to account for uncertainties in the rate of globalization, control of greenhouse gas emissions and technological changes, among other factors.
“We have to surmise that the climate is going to change as these models indicate,” he said. “That is not certain. But if it does, then there are clearly going to be more heat-related deaths.”
The California Air Resources Board commissioned the $191,553 study to better understand potential climate effects, and help guide creation of new air-quality measures, said spokesman Dimitri Stanich.

Pay someone $1/5 million to find climate change and they will find climate change. If they don’t find climate change, they might not get another $1/5 million to another study to find more climate change in the future.

Indeed, the green nazis are on the rise. It’s like we try to formulate new words and they interupt on usage. I had a tutor I fired once because he was trying to control what I said and removed ideas on the mere basis of simple typos or grammatical errors, dismissing the whole thing.
Those who create new products and businesses get constantly harassed, destroyed or dismissed from their formulations based on looks. It’s a jealousy system, Atlas Shrugged type system of harassment by those living in Plato’s cave.
THe same people said to let Yellow Stone parks fires keep going because the government could not manage it. IT was so convenient then to ignore that nature is not necessarily a benefactor.

Nothing new here. This has been happening for the last 1,000 years or more. Only because there are ever more people in the target age group...Not because the earth is getting closer to the sun.
Of course there will be more heat-related deaths, after all those coal-fired power plants shut down. Thanks, EPA.

The rising cost of electricity will have an effect on heat related deaths. They will use their own policies to kill people then rape us all with this Global Warming BS.

Only if Obama succeeds in closing down so many power stations that air conditioning is no longer possible. That is a lot more likely than CO2 doing it.
