They sure are trying....The MSM, fed administration and every state, city and local town is milking this one to show off how much "betterer" they are at handling a storm than "Bush" (of course Nagin was just a puppet of Bush/sarc)

Tornadoes are bad, high winds are bad, heavy rains are bad - unfortunately they happen....they knew this to be a Cat-1 - it's way overblown for most of the panicked population.

Yes, there are people in harms way but this is way over the top - Last night I was listening to shelter openings for the state of Connecticut - pretty much every town had one - it was like a bad snowstorm school closing list where it would have been easier to name the towns that didn't have shelters opened and manned.

This Cat-1 is going to cost a lot of money.
I can't wait for Barry to take command control of a snow storm(with some areas having heavy cumulative snow)......*thud*

Irene has been overhyped so that Obama can claim credit for saving America from her. The media’s working overtime to contrast his “calm, cool mastery” with Bush’s alleged callous indifference and incompetence. The spin is so obvious it barely needs mentioning.
