Randy Barnett is a treasure. Have you read his material regarding the Ninth Amendment and the Necessary and Proper clause? His book, Restoring the Lost Constitution is terrific.

I've read Madison's notes along with the sketchier notes of other attendees. NOTHING from the Convention supports an expansion of the commerce power beyond what it clearly says.

I suppose the Left should be cr@pping their britches in fear of a few more Thomases on the Supreme Court. The whole regulatory state rests on a lie discernible by anyone who can read.

I would be fascinated to read Barnett's take on issues of enumeration, as well as (what I believe to be) the abuse of the Necessary and Proper Clause. I remain fascinated by issues of Constitutional law, even though I went to law school some 30 years ago and do not practice. I chose a career in the business world instead, driven partly by a repulsion to the Marxists who controlled my school's agenda, and to be honest, a lack of discipline in my youth.
