The Republican National Committee wasted no time in turning Wednesday's bankruptcy of Solyndra -- the Fremont solar company touted by President Obama as the future of the U.S. economy -- into a campaign web-only ad.

"The Chinese have really done an incredible job of eating everyone's lunch," said Stephen Simko, a senior equities analyst who covers solar power for the Morningstar research firm. "I would assume there are going to be other upstart solar companies that won't make it." Gosh, who could have seen that one coming?

WTF is the GOP doing with a web-only ad? This ought to be aired on the major cable and network channels to reach a wider audience.

"I would assume there are going to be other upstart solar companies that won't make it." Ironically, China doesn't waste a lot of their own resources trying to convert their power infrastructure to 'Green'. They are fine with carbon based fuels, and more then happy to build and sell this boutique greenie stuff to the West (...chuckling all the way to the bank about these fools who refuse to use their own Natural Gas, Oil, and Coal resources).

Limbaugh had this on his show yesterday, iirc. Actually, I think he
said that 3 of the 4 solar companies that BHO pimped/"visited"
went bankrupt.

Has anyone done a search on campaign donations of the board of directors AND the employee? I mean, they could have funneled THOUSANDS of dollars back into Oaf-bamas’ 2012 effort and the local demorats from the area.

Evergreen solar went belly up in Massachusetts after soaking the schlubs for millions. A fabricating company in Ohio which was to get rich and hire hundreds of people to make parts for wind turbines also tanked recently. IDK others.

I emailed the youtube to a long list of family and friends. It is likely more people will see a web ad as it is emailed than they would see an ad on TV.

I absolutely agree. The stimulus and his green jobs fantasy are two huge issues that tie Obama and Congressional Dems directly to the economic morass they placed this country in. He can not trace these back to Bush as he usually does.

Though the Energy Department and Solyndra deny that political considerations influenced the companys favorable treatment, the company is just one among many firms owned, operated, or financed by a major Obama donor that have enjoyed such treatment. In fact, nearly 200 of his biggest donors have landed plum government jobs and advisory posts, won federal contracts worth millions of dollars for their business interests or attended numerous elite White House meetings and social events, Politico noted in March, citing iWatchs investigation.
Another one of those donors owns a venture capital firm with four renewable energy companies in its portfolio that have also received more than $500 million in loans, grants, or stimulus funds. One hopes they fare better than Solyndra.
