Palin On Politicians And Crony Capitalism: "I'm Not For Sale"
40min video via RCP ^ | September 3, 2011 | Sarahcuda

Posted on 09/03/2011 2:32:00 PM PDT by MontaniSemperLiberi

Former Governor Sarah Palin gave the keynote speech at a Tea Party rally in Indianola, Iowa on Saturday afternoon.

"We sent a new class of leaders to DC, but immediately the permanent political class, they tried to co-opt them. Because the reality is we are governed by a permanent political class, until we change that," Palin said about career politicians. "They talk about massive, unsustainable debt and yet they keep incurring more. They spend, they print, they borrow, they spend more, and they stick us with the bill. Then they pat their own backs and they claim that they faced and solved the debt crisis that they got us in."

On crony capitalism: "So many of them, they arrive in Washington, DC of modest means and then miraculously throughout the years they end up becoming very, very wealthy. Well, it's because they derive power and their wealth from their access to our money, to taxpayer dollars."

"They use it to bail out their friends on Wall Street. And their corporate cronies. And to reward contributors. And to buy votes via earmarks. There is so much waste. And there is a name for this. It's called 'corporate crony capitalism,'" she said.

“Like you, I’m not for sale. I believe in the free market and that is why I detest crony capitalism. And Barack Obama has shown us cronyism on steroids. It will lead to our downfall if we don’t stop it now.”

The speech, roughly 40 minutes, ranged from politics to policy. Palin made sure to address reforming taxes and entitlements. Palin called for eliminating all federal corporate income taxes and called entitlement reform "our duty."

That was my favorite quote from her speech.
It calls out the corruption in politics.
She’ll do to DC, what she did in AK.
Kick corrupt butts to the curb.
She is loaded for bear (er...RINO/Lib).

I’m a believer. I have been very disappointed in the past by Shara’s choices of who she supported (mclame for one). But I believe her words more then any other politician in my lifetime. I wish I knew if she was going t run or not.

And for those who have been saying there was substance in her speech. Garbage, she laid out a plan.

As cynical and old as I have become living and working in the D.C. area all of these years, my heart warms to hear her speak to these issues.

I preay to God for her safety and preservation from harm.

Roderic Deane: I truly believe that this speech will become Sarah Palin’s “A Time For Choosing”.

She’s running.

She’s the only one with credibility on actual government cuts: after three years as AK governor, she left with the budget 10% smaller than it was when she’d entered office.

So when she says she’s for actual cuts, as was one of her points today, she means it and can deliver on it—unlike the johnny-come-lately would-be ‘tea partiers’ she’s running against.

Read the comments on the ABC News Blog. This is where demented liberals go to express their brain-farts. The hatred, the violence against her is absolutely unparalleled in American history. How did we produce these lazy, welfare marxist assholes who dwell in these stygian depths? I grew up respecting my elders, my country, and freedom. Now we are beset by pampered narcissistic mutants who’ve never held a real job, have been spoiled rotten by their parents, have never paid taxes, never had any responsibility in life, and yet they hate America! How can we get rid of these cretins?

"They use it to bail out their friends on Wall Street. And their corporate cronies. And to reward contributors. And to buy votes via earmarks. There is so much waste. And there is a name for this. It's called 'corporate crony capitalism,'" she said.

Finally someone who "gets it" and is not afraid to tell it like it is.

...Then they pat their own backs and they claim that they faced and solved the debt crisis that they got us in.

Amen sister. I only hope we can wake up 51% of America.

Palin ((((ping)))!
