Palin Watch Continues: No Announcement In Iowa Speech

By Robin Abcarian Los Angeles Times September 3, 2011 Reporting from Indianola, Iowa— Sarah Palin did not announce a presidential candidacy Saturday in her speech to the Tea Party of America.

Instead, she hit the usual "tea party" high notes about the dangers of a second Obama term and the perilous financial situation the country faces.

But in addition to those familiar themes, she also unleashed a high spirited attack on “corporate crony capitalism” and the “permanent political class.”

It was not lost on the crowd of about 2,000 that a certain Texas governor has spent most of his career in office and has been accused of rewarding his financial backers. That man, Rick Perry, is widely considered the current frontrunner for the nomination.

Sounding very much like a candidate, she proposed her own plan for economic recovery, including repealing “Obamacare,” focusing on energy independence by developing America’s natural resources, and putting an end to the federal corporate income tax. “This” she said, “is how we create millions of high-paying jobs.”

To offset the loss of government revenue, she said, she would “eliminate corporate welfare—the loopholes and bailouts.”

“Barack Obama promised to cut the deficit in half. Instead he turned around and tripled it,” she said. “Barack Obama is adrift,” she said at another point. “He doesn’t make sense.”

“Who wants to win the future by investing in hare-brained ideas” like “solar panels and really fast trains?” These, she said, are “non-starters . . . . All aboard Obama’s bullet train to bankruptcy.”

A couple nights ago PSYCHO-FREEP had a post that said that for FReepers to criticize Rick Perry “was unforgivable.”

This is the same clown that has been bashing Sarah Palin non-stop for more than two years. Can you say “hypocrite” PSYCHO-FREEP? Look in the mirror when you try. It might help.

PSYCHO-FREEP must have missed this.

Palin tossed out the corruption-ridden, structurally-flawed Petroleum Profits Tax of the Murkowski administration and put forth ACES (Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share), which incentivized development while seeing to it that Alaskans — resource owners as per the Alaska Constitution — would receive “A CLEAR and EQUITABLE SHARE (ACES) of the value of their commonly-owned oil and gas.” The result? Alaska was left with a $12 billion surplus. Also, as reported at Big Government, “The number of oil companies filing with the Alaska Department of Revenue has doubled, indicating that competition has indeed increased. Alaska has the second most business friendly tax set-up — up two spots since the passage of ACES. Additionally, a report from Governor Parnell’s Department of Revenue indicated that 2009 yielded a record high in oil jobs.”

Love it!

The establishment can’t stand the idea that it’s still one man one vote and there are a whole lot more hard working common Americans than rich GOP donors. If they can’t control the candidate, they can’t control us.

Sarah is a freedom loving American girl with common sense and an honest, truly straight talkin way that us hard working, freedom loving, Constitution supporting, independent thinkers love, support, and appreciate.

When Sarah announces, she’ll get my door to door support and my $$, her organization will be the grass roots type that brings the ground swell support needed to win. She won’t be stuck with a need for big money propaganda (and the strings) because Americans know the real deal when they see it, and she is it!

You can’t poll or control word of mouth advertising (the best and most effective kind) and it doesn’t take big money to talk to your friends and neighbors in sincerity and truth and take them to the polls.

When Sarah gets in, we’ll all be in with her! The MSM, pundits, and the opposition won’t know what hit them when they learn that middle class America does not need the Establishment. The hippy generation libs will really learn what it truly means to stick it to “The Man”(Big Government)

Run Sarah Run

Hey, I just realized you used my picture to make your “We the People” banner. I took that picture in Kissimmee, Florida.

My sources are an Alaska newspaper and a Alaska government website. Not a Seattle newspaper. Get real! And get honest enough to READ the sources! The links are there.

Jobs, oil revenue increased under ACES - Anchorage Daily News

I'm so sorry that you're upset that so many special interests own Perry. That's gonna work out well. For THEM.

She’s a robo-babe all right. If none of the candidates had any positions on the issues, I’d vote for her just because she’s so easy on the eyes.

My hubby is bothered by her voice but tries to overlook it. He still likes what she has to say & wishes there were more out there like her.

That was a different time and there weren’t six or eight GOP candidates already running. Plus we didn’t have a Marxist needing to be removed from the WH.
