If he F's up the fire response, or is perceived as insensitive or out of touch, the press will crucify him and end his campaign.

(Look for the Press to compare the fires to Bush & Katrina, for instance.)

Braggadocio works fine in politicians unless you are seen as cruel or indifferent to those who depend on you.

Goodhair moved out of the Governor’s mansion (due to arson and rebuild)sometime back and I have not heard of his return.

I believe his temporary housing, location of the famous coyote shoot, is in the vicinity of one of the fires...

BTW, my weather radar shows 5 fires on Fort Hood... Lots of smoke in our air... the Bastrop plume appears to be over 70 miles long. These plumes will show up on any good weather radar display...
