CARSON CITY, NV - Carson City sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of the IHop on South Carson Street.
Details are very sketchy, but initial reports indicate that more than one person has been shot on the 3800 block of Carson Street and a suspect is still in the area.
We have a crew on the way and we'll update this story as information becomes available.
I graduated CC high class of 1986. Was a great place for a teenager to be back then. Virginia City to the East and Lake Tahoe to the West. Man o man..if I only knew how good i really had it.
CC cops have a tough reputation. I dont see them taking lightly to much gangs / drugs.
Damned good bet it wasn't one of 'us' then .. any hint of that would've been trumpeted coast/coast in 10min.
Your allusion (sans evidence) to the Obama/Hoffa incident as a possible factor in this shooting is not unlike the premature reaction of the lefties in blaming Sarah Palin for the shooting of Rep. Giffords.
Even though it is tempting to throw leftist tactics right back in their faces (turnabout being fair play and all), it might be wiser to hold off from making such assertions until more is known about the shooter and his motivations...

Jimmy Hoffa shot four men in military uniform in IHOP. He personally did this.
Picture at your link shows a parked motorcycle with an American flag on it. The shooter may have had a grudge against the military or just against the country. Of course can’t rule out a Jihadist member of the ROP.

- All witnesses being held at sheriff's office

At this point, in the investigation, could also be one of Holder’s guns from Gunwalker. zer0 and Hoffa are not the only ones helping to put forth violence as a means of action out of this administration.
Shooter used a SEMI-AUTO hand gun.

Hearing a rifle. do not know caliber or model.
He could have been if all he had was a 5 or 6 shot revolver.
My buddy Ralph (who owns Locals BBQ) saw everything:
“Across the parking lot at Locals’ BBQ, owner Ralph Swagler said witnessed much of the shooting. He said that he and his son were inside his restaurant when he saw a man pull into the IHOP parking lot i a blue minivan, where he began shooting outside the restaurant. Swagler said he then saw a body on the ground next to a motorcycle, as the male shooter began shooting from the front of the restaurant to the inside. Swagler said the weapon was a fully automatic assault-style weapon, in which he said the man fired off an entire clip, reloaded and then walked inside the IHOP and began shooting.”
Time will tell I guess.

- Reporter interviewed 2 Witnesses inside rest. - state gunman had 'special focus' on military eating at iHop
- Another interview with 1 Witness supposed gunman had love interest working at iHop
- Nat Guard shot dead - 1 woman, 1 man
[sigh] Where to start? Fully auto? Assault style? What style is that exactly? Clip?

Heard the report heard, on a local radio station. Witness mentioned basically the same as you posted. May have been same person.

Radio report just on, says unclear if person is with National Guard or has any Military connection. Looks like the key is the minivan and finding if the owner is the shooter.
Nope, all witnesses are sequestered at the Sheriff’s office. This is what Carsonnow.org reported him saying.
