Like I said, I doubt they could damage our bridges, and it's not likely that several could be hit. Authorities are closely monitoring our bridges. So relax. However, there is a credible threat to other facilities that could cause pain and havoc, but not really choke off all our traffic.
I would worry about tunnels. Remember some years back when the tunnel in the east bay had a tanker truck crash inside and many died? That was a horrific accident that can be repeated by a terrorist. Tanker trucks are not allowed on our bridges. I don't know if they are still allowed in tunnels.
I would also worry about the subway stations. Again, authorities are checking but it creeps me out what has happened in other countries with their rail stations - that has actually been targets by terrorists. So I would stay away from that, as that can have a long-lasting impact on traffic.

Oh Heavens yes-I remember that! I can’t stand to drive through the Caldecott Tunnel anymore. I just pray all the way through that I make it to the other side safely and as quickly as possible.
