A Palin Senate run might be interesting.

However, I think she’s interested in helping build a movement and not particularly interested in being President, Senator, etc., especially if a political run might detract from that movement. She walked away from the Alaska governorship — I don’t think power means that much to her if she can’t be effective.

(Now she’ll probably prove me wrong and announce as a Presidential candidate!) ;-)

I’m sorry that some of the Palin-zealots ticked you off and you’ve been on a forum-revenge mission ever since.

I had them on me all over me a year ago like a swarm of killer bees on this very forum. Of course, unlike you, I don’t go around starting fights with them because I felt they were unreasonable.

Right on, and your boy Perry, was never a democrat and had high praise for Hillary care, right?

I know Perry was a democrat. I was a democrat too. A lot of Freepers are former democrats, just like Reagan.

As far as Hillary Care is concerned, I believe that this accusation is based on the letter below:

She's the only one who is sincere in what she says. The rest only try to copy her.

She scares them all shitless, incuding Perry and his supporters.

You’re the one that’s being dishonest, pretending to be a Palin supporter. lol.

I have been a Palin supporter since before she was chosen as the VP candidate by McCain. I believe I was the first Freeper to predict she would be the nominee.

If you check my posting history you will see that up until mid August I was one of her most ardent cheerleaders.

I since changed my mind and decided that she missed her window of opportunity and her momentum had dropped and she did not seem all that interested in the job. So I am now in the Perry camp because I believe he holds the same positions that I do and he can and will beat Obama.

What I am not, however, is a Palin Supporter Supporter. Some of Palin's defenders on this forum refuse to see reality. Just like those who at first denied that Palin ever publicly supported TARP, and then when faced with the evidence, accused her of being disengenuous so that she could be a compliant lackey for McCain for giving her the VP nomination.

I no longer believe that Palin can win, so I have moved on. Unlike a lot of Freepers, I like her, but I never worshiped her.

I don't believe she will run, at least not in this election. If she does, I don't believe she will win the nomination. If she did win the nomination, I don't believe she would beat Obama. Her negatives are just too high and they aren't getting lower.

Sarah Palin will make a very effective spokesman and leader for the Tea Party movement. Someday she may make a very effective President, but she will have to wait until 2020.

How do you look in the mirror everyday knowing that you lie and troll?

I have spoken the truth. How can you sleep at night after accusing Sarah Palin of being a disingenuous political hack?

It's making me laugh that's all that matters.

I'm so glad you're out there informing the public on the ins and outs of being an elite anti-Palin supporter supporter officer. Because you know it's really important that you get the message out. LOL

Thanks for fighting a lost cause so I could laugh. Can't beat free entertainment.

It’s called subordinating your own views to the positions of the campaign, every bit as much as a lawyer tries to massage facts to fit his arguments. Should she have resigned from Juan’s campaign, just b/c some of his positions were goofy? Life isn’t perfect, but one can do much more good from the inside.
In Going Rogue, she frankly states that many of the things that the McCain “experts” wanted her to say, esp. in the debates, were “non-answers”. C’est la vie. I’m not going to hate her or disrespect her for it. Focus on what she says now, and what she DID as governor of Ak. when she acted *for herself*. Bob

Total nonsense. She's going to attract Dems who aren't insane leftists as well as Rs and Independents.

She'll pull in the same Democrats that Reagan attracted...

. There was no need to resign. If she disagreed with McCain on some issues then she should not have acted as a cheerleader for those positions. Once she was the nominee, she was free to say whatever the hell she wanted to say. McCain picked her to be the nominee. She therefore had an obligation to be herself.

She may not have joined the fray yet because she does not want to align herself with the Republicans at all. IMO she’s going to go third party. I agree with the third party part, but for different reasons. As the primary process heats up, the candidates will have to begin to differentiate themselves from each other. Right now it's mostly fun to say we're all here to defeat Obama. As Iowa and New Hampshire get closer, the candidates will have to start getting competitive amongst themselves to percolate to the top of the hearts and votes of republicans. Which means that the candidates will have to go for each others throats.

Palin doesn't want to have to be on the receiving end of any of that. BUT, she is interested in residing at the White House. To minimize her exposure to criticism and comparison, she'll wait until the primary process is over and go rogue with a third party candidacy.

LOL! I'll bet if Palin goes 3rd party, she gets almost 2% of the vote. Just ask Presidents Buchanan and Perot. Oh, well Perot did almost 25% and did help get Clinton elected with the smallest margin in election history.

Palin doesn't have that kind of money OR ability however.

Her negatives are that she has 99% name recognition nationwide and 60% of those people have an unfavorable impression of her. I don't think anyone can overcome that kind of negative attitude by the time of the election. If she announces, it is only going to get worse.
