The flag that was hung at the Pentagon was the Garrison flag from Fort McNair in D.C.

After being displayed at the Smithsonian Museum of American History it was taken down in a retreat ceremony, folded and is now stored at the U.S. Army Center of Military History at Fort McNair.

Thanks, tx, for the history of the flag. I really was fixated on the video and pictures of that flag when I first saw it.
