Today is my son’s 48th birthday. He is sad for the day, but honors it every year with patriotic decorations when he celebrates. The song by Darryl Worley, “Have You Forgotten?” keeps running through my head. My grandson had the entire song memorized when he was 5 years old. He can still sing it all the way through. (big hankie day...)
