I was in Vietnam during TET.
I was on duty at the FAA when the Murra building blew up.
I was on duty at the FAA when the planes hit the WTC.

We had a new guy that asked where to get coffee around here so I took him up to the Cafe. I got coffee and was watching “Breaking News” of the WTC fire. The new guy came over to me about the time the second plane hit. An Air Traffic Controller walking out talking to himself said how could a pilot not see the tower with 15 mile visibility? The new guy will never forget his first day at work. Stuff happens and you have to take it in stride and not look back too hard.
