The only way Perry’s mandate reduced the cost was that it forced insurance companies to pay for it. That means the general public was still fully paying for it—through their insurance premiums.

And it’s very expensive, not like most vaccines.

Also it is completely different from all other mandated vaccines in that those vaccines are required of children attending schools because of the way those diseases can be spread through the school.

Gardisil doesn’t protect against anything you get from a doorknob or from being sneezed on.

>> “kooks do what kooks do” <<

And you are a kook!

Alternative medicine is the real medicine, that works in all cases if followed. It is simply consuming only real, unadulterated food, and using the millions of herbs that the Lord gave us for that purpose.

Suceptibility to disease is voluntary; you can opt out.

Although not mandated in Alaska, Gardisal appears on their 2011 Recommended Immunization Schedule as to be given to girls and boys at ages 11-12. Here’s a headline from the State of Alaska Epidemiology Bulletin from Nov 3, 2008:

Alaska to Initiate Federal Vaccines for Children Program for Human Papillomavirus and Meningococcal Vaccines

Mandated. No. Promoted by the Government of Alaska. Yep.WOW, that's good to know about. Who was governor of AK at the time?

Ever been to public schools?

Yeah, with time off when I had mumps, measles and chicken pox.

for me it was 3 weeks at a time for whooping cough, measles, and chicken pox

All I ever had was a polio shot given at school every year for 3 years from age 5 when I started school and then the drinkable syrup polio vaccine for a couple of years..

no other vaccines...

The most recent polls.

I just posted it last week. I could find it again, if you like.

The Wall Street Journal/NBC poll from about a week ago, and question Qf5

QF5 Thinking about your general approach to issues, do you consider yourself to be liberal, moderate, or
conservative? (IF “LIBERAL” OR “CONSERVATIVE,” ASK:) Do you consider yourself to be very
(liberal/conservative) or somewhat (liberal/conservative)?
Very liberal ...................................... 7
Somewhat liberal ............................. 10
Moderate ......................................... 40
Somewhat conservative .................. 23
Very conservative ............................ 17
Not sure ......................................... 3

There’s a time to swing at someone that hard, but she swung way too hard on too small an issue. If she’d pulled her punch she’d have been ok, but she and Santorum went for the throat and committed a serious tactical error.

Worse part is attacking Perry helps Romney. We need to get the liberals and kooks out first - Huntsman, Paul, then Romney - then we can talk about Perry. I don’t want to get thrown to the fire because of someone crying about the frying pan.

Yeah, with time off when I had mumps, measles and chicken pox. None of which I acquired while rubbing genitals. TMI, gramps. I bet you took the small pox and polio vaccine.

In the samples I caught Bachmann did well, so did Santorum. B+/A- territory.

Cain did better than both of them. He gets a A.

Paul got some great points in, but failed on the national security answer. C-/D+. I missed any Gingrich pieces. Judging by comments on thread he’d easily have a B+, maybe an A or even a A+.

Perry had a spotty performance, but still a B-.

Romney I give a C.

Anyone else failed.

Wolf gets B-, and an E for extraordinary improvement.

It's Texas. I live in Virginia. If they tried this in Virginia, and they did, I'd vigorously oppose it, and work to elect people who opposed i (I did).

I've not seen the Texas legislature challenging it. They PASSED it, by a pretty solid majority, Perry signed it. This wasn't some executive order. This was in 2001, so that was when it appeared people supported it.

They haven't passed a bill recinding it. The people haven't voted them out of office.

But recent polling indicates the people of texas, when asked, are opposed to the in-state tuition for illegals, by a wide margin. So it seems clear the people are no longer supportive of what was passed in 2001. Makes you wonder why the legislature hasn't tried to repeal it, maybe they will next session.

Well she is doing a good job sinking her self by tying herself to Bachmann over Gaurdasil.
