Today, with scant evidence, she calls the GOP frontrunner a crook.
I no longer know what to think. Maybe she is actually running. Maybe she is afraid he is getting more popular with Republicans than her. Who knows?
Sadly, I am beginning to believe that we are going to find a way to send the worst President in history back for a second term because we apparently hate each other even more than we oppose him.
People are just reading way too much into what she says. Palin is NOT a candidate and when she gives an interview the topics may be different each time.
There is nothing wrong with a good spirited debate. If Perry is such a great candidate, and I do think he is good, then he will be able to take the fire and come through it stronger.
As to Palin, one of her biggest issues is reform - including within her own party. There is nothing wrong with her pointing out that even the perception of pay for play is bad news. Bachmann raised the issue and Palin explained why she thinks it is relevant. I don't see the problem here and I don't think it is tearing us apart.
Just the other day Palin was supposedly "helping" Perry by explaining his social security position better than he did. Governor Palin is simply speaking her mind, trying to give thoughtful interviews (which she is paid 1 million bucks a year to do) and talking about the issues that are important to her.
I thought the debate was great, I though Palin's interview was good, and I think Perry did just fine and will become a stronger candidate for having to deal with scrutiny and questions.
If we're not careful, that will happen. I try to remember that FR is not the country, and that a small number of foolish posters can cause havoc beyond their numbers.
