Any Freeper feedback on why these numbers are so drastically lower? Although I stopped buying them years back when I learned two of the three were French owned. I’m open to buying them now, just never got around to it.

Among automotive enthusiast titles:

Car and Driver fell 52.1% from 144,867 to 70,911;
Motor Trend 52.3% from 160,722 to 76,621;
Road and Track 62.8% from 147,750 to 54,262.

there is no useful information in any of them. It is all fluff and no real world info.

they are just advertisements pretending to be articles.

the internet has more and varied information.

I refused to renew subscriptions on two of these. Politics in a car magazine. These liberals would rather kill a magazine then take their political views out of it.

I do not pay much attention to the automotive rags anymore because it seems like all of the reviews are really just big suck-ups to their advertisers. They seem to skip over the warts and flaws all together.

I used to subscribe to some of the rags like Classic Trucks,
Hotrod, Car Craft, and Truckin’. In the olden days they had some pretty good tech articles on chopping tops and clipping frames and real custom work. Now it seems the tech articles are something like “Part 1 of 5 on installing your new bug shield.”

I don’t know if I outgrew them or if we just passed each other going opposite ways.

The only mags I get now is the NRA and TSRA and would probably opt out if it was available.
