Sorry but I am in the running with CW for the most hard core Perry Supporter.

The problem many ar having is that rather than just spew the usual half truths and outright Lies about Perry. Some research might help.

When sarah actually “runs” then we might discuss her positions. since she is NOT running, she is a non issue.

But when you have people actually referring to the most outstanding Cancer Research Hospital as “unethical” you lose ALL credibility. (generic You)

I think you are void of ethics.

And quite childish at times.

The following needed a rewrite...
"Foaming at the mouth, shock, seizures, paralysis, coma-even death have been reported as a result of taking the vaccine Gardasil from Merck by Palin supporters as result of watching Perry lead the pack of GOP contenders... "

Next thing you know Shriners’ Burn Centers will be working with medical device companies to develop spray-on skin or something. Sheesh.

You have to take the children to Docs to get vaccines.

Sorry, I’m a little unclear about your post. I have nothing against the cancer center or clearing up misinformation on Perry. My point is simply that a certain person here is very obnoxious. I just had had it and called her out on it. Probably not the right thing to do but I just got fed up.

My opinion on this has nothing to do with my support of Sarah Palin.

Did Sarah Palin’s Alaska mandate it. I don’t think so. In fact, if she she did not mandate, and Alaska still received federal funds, than how is it that all you Perry supporters claim that there had to be an opt out, not opt in procedure in order to receive medicad funds, which is federal funding?

Yes, of course, but you missed my point. Once Guardasil was available, any parent at any time could have had their child vaccinated - by choice. There was no need to pass a law the just put a burden on the parent to "opt out." It was just a waste of everyone's time.

It was NOT an easy opt-out provision. An easy opt-out is a simple signed note from the parents. Period. This provision required either (1) a notarized physician’s excuse of a particular type, (2)an affidavit from the parents sworn before a notary, that they had a conscientious objection at the level of a religious objection, or a religious objection.

Many legitimate parental objections to the vaccine did not rise to the somber level of such a formal objection. So if such parents had the kind of moral scruples parents should have, Perry’s policy would require them to essentially swear to a lie about the nature of their objections. YOU AND PERRY MAY MAKE LIGHT OF SUCH REFINED SCRUPLES. I and many do not.

It was most definitely NOT an easy opt-out. I have not even mentioned thus far in this reply the social and psychological compulsion associated in general with opt-out schemes. This is why good marketers try to avoid them — they can produce backlash and induce bad reputations for those who use them.

Here also at this time on this issue we are seeing the energetic and nasty kind of backlash opt-out can generate.

It will NOT go away. Gardasil’s marketing effort was potent and overpowering. Combined with legal compulsions and the near-compulsions of opt-outs it leaves an lasting and equally potent bitterness and sense of vengeance on those who were forced into the program and felt trapped by it.

Gardasil’s hyper-marketing—abusive and disrespectful of parental authority—has thus angered the kind of people you’d want least to have working against you. The most scrupulous. The most conscientious.

Miss M,

Must be nice to be deaf to all the Sarah supportes *bullying tones*. Bias will do that to you.

Ya’ll have down right ugly since before Gov. Perry decided to run.

You make sense, but just about any literature made public will not be as informative as the PDR. I have Web MD and the Mayo clinic sites on my favorites but even they do not go into the depth that the PDR will. If the subject was OPT IN and not OPT OUT I would have no problem with it...Each parent can decide if they want to put their daughters at risk after having FULL information. :O)

By Gore.

What on God's green earth does Gore have to do with this discussion?

How many sixth grade chaste girls had Gardasil been tested on (and for how many years)

The vaccine was tested on over 30,000 girls and women, including several hundred as young as 11-12, for a period of several years (the first follow up was not until 3 years after the first injections).

Or have the RINO Perry resign.

Not gonna happen.

Really. Since Sarah was Gov of Alaska until July of 2009, HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THIS:

Alaska: Mass Vaccination Drill; Children Were Given Varivax, Merck’s Chicken Pox Vaccine
May 1st, 2009

Via: KTUU:

Alaska health officials and the Anchorage School District teamed up Wednesday to prepare for a worst case scenario by practicing a mass dispensing of vaccines.

The exercise comes as the World Health Organization raised its pandemic alert, which means it believes a global outbreak of the swine flu is imminent.

No cases of swine flu have been reported in Alaska. Still, health officials say it is possible swine flu will reach our state, and they want to be ready in case it does.

Over the past two weeks, 11 schools have participated in an exercise to distribute the chicken pox vaccine to students.

This is also a chance to practice dispensing medication in the event of a large scale emergency, according to the Department of Health and Social Services and the school district.

Two Anchorage schools on Wednesday had a special delivery from the health department.

The schools received hundreds of doses of the varicella vaccine, which is used to prevent chicken pox.

The state requires all elementary students receive two shots of the vaccine by next year.

“Part of it is getting a jump on that cause,” said Mark Mew, the school district’s director of security and emergency preparedness. “There is obviously going to be a rush at the doctor’s office and the Health Department.”

This is also a chance for the district to practice its ability to deliver a lot of medication on short notice.

“We have a responsibility as the Department of Health and Human services to really have a high level of capacity to be able to deal with public health emergencies should they occur,” DHSS Deputy Director Jayson Smart said.

The school district says it wants to be ready to help out in the event of a pandemic.

“We’ve known for a couple of years that we’ve got a threat of pandemic flu, everybody’s been thinking about avian influenza for the last few years,” Mew said.

This is the third time DHSS and the school district have teamed up for a mass vaccination drill.

The majority of staff who helped with the drill is employed by the district, but some are volunteers.

“And when we do these kinds of exercises or practices, it helps us kind of identify, where do we have problems in things we need to fix to be better at doing that. This is a great practicing opportunity,” Smart said.

The timing of this pandemic practice couldn’t be better now that swine flu is sweeping across the nation.

“It wasn’t the reason we’re doing this necessarily, but certainly timely. It’s got everybody’s mind on that topic right now,” said Mew.

Over the past two weeks, the district distributed nearly 2,000 chicken pox vaccines to students from kindergarten to sixth grade.

The district said its practice is paying off. It can now give more than 100 shots in less than an hour.

SO WHAT IS SARAH’S EXCUSE FOR THIS?

Remember, the dog barks and the caravan moves on. I'm afraid nothing I write will stop your caravan, lol.

Should we assume you are the dog in this analogy?
