LOL. You are right. It was downright frightening to see how many people, even some smart ones, were just mesmerized by this character based on his youth, race, and ability to give a speech. (Which is way overrated IMO.) No one wanted to face facts. When we tried to warn people we were dismissed as crackpots.

Apparently the Dem candidates that will be “down-ticket” from him next year don’t want to hear that; they’re not taking the likely end of their political careers too lightly (and after the 2010 shellacking have no misconceptions that it will likely happen to them). Dem candidates would have to so strongly renounce him & his programs that it will guarantee his loss, while only aiding them slightly.
I said it over a year ago, and I stand by my prediction: Obama will not be the 2012 Democrat presidential candidate. The other candidates, as well as the big donors, have too much to lose. The fact that the media is now openly against him (though not what he stands for) would indicate that he is facing mounting pressure.
And I for one, will put on my civil defense helmet and voluntarily assist to patrol the no gloating zone. Anyone caught gloating will be smiled at.
Guess my brother in law will be in a pissed mood today snicker snicker.

As I expected, they are twisting themselves into knots on PMSNBC. They are pretty much following the narrative I expected by talking about the special elections the R’s lost a few months ago that they should have won. I should get a job working for these people. I can practically write their stories before they happen, without even being there.... lol

We voted 6:45 yesterday. (with my 18 year old! Her first!)
Anyway, I want to praise Ed Koch:
He could have sided with Weperin re: Gay Marriage.
He sided with decency, and the pro-Israel candidate.
That just makes me like him more.
