“LoDo assault victims often sucker-punched”
I always thought of a sucker punch as literally a punch (to the stomach), as opposed to getting whacked from behind on the head. But I guess everyone has their own definition: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sucker+punch
My favorite is: “The act of saying “Hey what’s that just there on your shirt?” then as the person looks down, punching them swiftly in the face.”
To me, someone who is the victim of a blind-side attack isn’t a “sucker” whereas someone conned into looking down at their shirt arguably is.
