Barkley gives props to Glen Rice for Palin rumor
CBS Sports ^ | September 16, 2011 | Matt Moore

Posted on 09/16/2011 11:11:17 PM PDT by ConservativeStatement

You've no doubt by now heard about the report from... wait for this one... the National Inquirer quoting an upcoming unauthorized biography of Sarah Palin (Deadspin.com brought it to mainstream knowledge). The Inquirer reported that Rice confirmed a sexual encounter with Palin in 1987. We haven't covered it since Rice hasn't been in the league since 2004 and this has nothing to do with basketball. But since if it's anything about anything, Charles Barkley will talk about it, and since, let's be honest, Charles Barkley is never lacking in entertainment value, we thought we'd pass along Barkley's comments about the whole thing Friday. Let's just say Chuck's a little jealous of Glen's, er... relationship. From Sports Radio Interviews: “You know I have a thing for Sarah Palin, I do. I think she’s hot! I wouldn’t vote for her, but she is hot now. I’m talking both. I’ve always said, ‘I’ve got a crush on Sarah Palin.’ I would never vote for her. I always vote democratic because I think you have a better chance of helping poor people if you vote democratic. But, I’ve always had a thing for Sarah Palin. When I read that… Glen Rice is my new hero! He’s my new hero. You know she just moved in my neighborhood and I haven’t had a chance to meet her. I stay in Philadelphia in the summer, and I go back to Arizona when it starts getting cold. That cold is creeping up on me. I’m talking 50 or 60 degrees. So, I’m heading back to Arizona soon and I look forward to meeting Sarah Palin. Hey listen if that story is true, more power to Glen Rice.”

I think she should run 3rd party just for payback for all the idiots that post this crap, report on it or the ones who do not defend her. This site has a lot of creeps on it.

Did you know that Magic Johnson women, one of whom probably gave him HIV were the same women that got Eazy E, a young popular rapper back in the early 90’s who died of the disease? After that there was a list of these women names spread around celebrities and jocks in L.A. where they were told to stay away from them

"Both?" WTH is he talking about? 'Resist we much', Sir Charles.

Did he also mention the Germans bombing Pearl Harbor? Or did he think he was Magic Johnson?

Has Glenn Rice denied this hook up?

“The Inquirer reported that Rice confirmed a sexual encounter with Palin in 1987”

It looks like he is saying it happened. Doesn’t mean it did but there’s some old roommate of Palin’s saying it, too. It will be hard to shake that one off.

I really don’t understand why that creep wrote this book, Palin has young kids and there’s no good reason to dish on her sex life (true or not). It’s just about being cruel and making a buck.

Sure, I understand. Some people like going after info even if its slime to prove a point. A scorned person is motivated.

Has Todd or Sarah even acknowledge this rumor and denied it? From what I've seen, they have attacked the writer.

It doesn't matter to me. It comes down to what is the truth. If it happened, say it happened and move on. However, the writer could be lying, then the Palin's would sue and defend their name.

My money says; no lawsuit. And no run for the Presidency.

********************************
I don’t recall exactly what he said but Todd came out and denied it. Though it seemed more specific to the accusation that she had an affair with Todd’s business partner and family friend. The family friend denies it, too.

This one with Rice...if he doesn’t deny it and claims it did happen— it seems it is a he said she said and people will believe what they want to believe.

Palin has young girls in school and parents talk and then kids carry it back to school, plus the check-out lines have those rags right there for kids to see.

Add to that Bristol is going to have that reality show living with the Massey brothers, and working for an abstinence charity and no matter how innocent it all is, it is going to get ugly, in my opinion. I feel bad for them.

It really isn’t as bad as people try to make it. At the time Palin supposedly slept with the basketball player, she was unmarried, so big deal. The article also claimed that she was pregnant before she got married. So what if she encourages abstinence now. She realized that she made a mistake in her youth and her daughter did the same and realized that she made a mistake, thus they both now encourage abstinence. People change and hopefully they learn from past mistakes. Its not that big of a deal.

They are digging into her sexual past when she was single yet we can’t get the occupant in the WH to show proof of citizenship. We can’t see his college grades or papers etc, but we should worry about what a single woman did 20+ years ago.

It’s not like she enticed him under her desk while she was governor. I’ll bet she knows what the meaning of is IS!

The real story is the lies. The slander. The attacks on a woman non candidate... that is not even ventured without evidence on a male candidate. Pretty much CRAP journalism and CRAP commentary by those who have nothing but their scared little balls in a wad because they fear her.

“Who could ever forget that sad day when Barkley announced his career with the Lakers would be cut short because he had AIDS?”

Barkely says sport stars are not role models but I say his private battle with AIDs is heroic. ;)

I don't know anything about Glenn Rice, but if he adopted the same morals of many of his NBA compatriots, such as Wilt Chamberlain and his ten thousand, or Kemp and his troop of children by different mothers, or Kobie Bryant and his encounters with Hotel workers ... I suspect that he'd have no idea who he fornicated with over the years.

Sadly many of these 'men' have the morals of dogs. They don't remember the participants of their lewd acts.

worth repeating:

The problem is that they have mixed lies with what seems to be truths and trying to sue might prove messier than ignoring it as best she can.
