But when people start going out there and saying we should start eliminating ALL mandatory vaccinations and start portraying all mandatory vaccinations (from polio to rubella) as akin to an act of the Devil, then I think they've drifted over into nutter territory.
I really don't think a lot of the anti-Gardisil people have thought their position through to its logical end. If you have a problem with this specific vaccination (Gardasil), fine. I can understand that. But do you really want to go down the road of saying ALL mandatory vaccinations are evil?
I would.
There’s been a tremendous amount of bad that’s been caused in this world in the name of “good”.
The bottom line is the person most concerned about your health must be you. You have to live in your body, nobody else. If you get sick and permanently damaged or die from a vaccine (or medicine, or procedure, whatever), nobody in the government gives two sh1ts about you and you’re screwed the rest of your life.
If you decide you want to take the risk and get a vaccine, or take a certain drug, or have a certain procedure, you ought to be able to make that choice. You ought to be able to decline that choice as well, because you believe something isn’t safe enough for your concerns. I don’t believe that I have an obligation to be permanently damaged or die from a vaccine just because the rest of society wants to believe they’re safer with me vaccinated. If they are vaccinated they have nothing to worry about, because they believe the lie that vaccination always provides immunity against whatever the vaccine is for.
