ATLANTA -- Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has left the game against the Atlanta Falcons with a neck injury after being slammed into one of his own linemen late in the third quarter.

After letting go of a pass Sunday night, Vick was spun around by an Atlanta defender and slammed into right tackle Todd Herremans. The quarterback got up slowly and wobbled to the sideline, where the trainers worked on his right shoulder and neck. He also appeared to spit out blood coming off the field.

Mike Kafka took over for Vick and finished a touchdown drive that gave Philadelphia a 31-21 lead. After the Eagles scored, Vick walked to the locker room for observation.

Vick who?

That Kafka guy did great. Wonder if he’ll have 3 turnovers.

Agreed. Animal torturers, (and abortionists), deserve hell on this earth. Vick and his ‘pack’ or ‘posse’, (or whatever these kid T.C.B.E.M.S. call their saggy ass pants groups these days), do not deserve forgiveness. Vick killed these animals by his own hand.

Hey, he’s not a bad guy, he just wants to send a message to our children that you can torture and murder dogs and it’s ok.

Anyone equating a dog with a human baby is misguided. How many of you want to kill Vick for mistreating dogs while you chow down on innocent domestic animals by the hundreds. Oh yeah, that’s “different”.

Go vegeterian or reconsider talking about animals and humans in equal terms. No, I’m not a vegetarian.

Dry up sonny. Get some time in on the planet before you go popping off junior. You animal torturer fans can go hang. Get lost kid, come back when you have a few years on ya. This ancient old boy has no use for rookies like yourself.

How wonderfully forgiving people FR has turned into. What will be condemned next hunting?

Piousness does not fit FR. The Man has served his time, lost everything and apologized. I guess it is never enough for some people.

He didn't lose everything. "Ron Mexico" still has herpes.

They said he was also spitting up blood.

He bit his tongue. Nothing serious.

The man is a human being with built in sin and faults

He did horrible things yet posters seem to have no recognition of redemptive powers that can change a man Vick will forever wear a scarlet letter for what he did I just wish people would get just as mad at their congressman who fund on the Sly millions of abortions every year

As a dog lover myself I also think that Michael Vick did a terrible thing. However, I retrospect he didn’t do anything worse than what happens in Korean Restaurants all over the world. Dog, cat, monkey and horse are all on the menu.

Vick never should’ve been allowed back into the league.

I dissent. (And I'm a Giants fan.)

I wish Michael Vick well. He served his prison sentence. He seems to be contrite about his crime. It seems to me that if he doesn't deserve a second chance, then no one does.

I can’t help but wonder whether people’s attitudes would be different if Vick had abused a less popular species of animal, such as rats or snakes.

I sorta like it when he gets injured. He’s not a good person and I resent it that a person like that gets so much fame and glory. Probably mean of me, but ....

Did anyone ever nurse a rat back to health???

Actually, the torture of any creature reveals a sick personality. We might stomp on a roach but we wouldn’t pull it’s cute little wings off to watch it suffer.

Good news! The Creator if Michael Vick is the God of second chances. Who knows?, maybe the haters on this thread will need a second chance someday.
