The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee says President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party will own the Jewish vote in 2012.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) on Thursday pushed back hard against the claim that Democrats recently lost a House seat in a traditionally blue district in New York as a result of Obama’s weak policy on Israel.
”That is absolutely not the case, and it will be demonstrated in the election next year that the natural home for Jewish voters, both domestically in terms of policy and in our Israel policy, is the Democratic Party and President Obama as our candidate,” Schultz said on Fox News.
Jewish voters “overwhelmingly” support Obama, the congresswoman said, arguing that Jewish-Americans have no problems with the president’s position on Israel.
The Florida Democrat also insisted that the president will have no trouble winning her state – the stage for the Republican primary debate Thursday night – because Floridans understand that the president has fought hard to create jobs and turn the economy around.
“We need to work together and we need the Republicans to stop allowing themselves to be controlled by the extremists in the tea party,” she said. “That’s why he’ll win Florida.”

She is really astoundingly ugly, like you have to try to be that ugly to be that ugly ugly.
The question came up on the Michael Medved show yesterday, “why does the majority of Jews vote Democrat?” His explanation was great. First he said in 2012 the majority of the Jewish vote will still go to Obama, BUT in far less numbers than in 2008. And that is true for most demographics that voted for him in 2008, such as blacks, women, and even Hispanics. But headlines such as this one will twist facts and make it sound like it’s a big deal for the Democrats. It’s Not.
And as for why do they lean Democrat when it’s obvious that Democrats are not pro-Israel, he said many American Jews feel no connection at all with Israel, and many of those are not observant Jews, who’s political views are far more important in their lives than their religious views.
We can say the same in our Christian denominations as well. There is a certain percentage in each that’s faith in Government, or their Labor Union, is larger than their faith in God.
