Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.
"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."

Again, Palin is no hawk on illegal immigration. You don’t even know what you’re talking about. She talks out of both sides of her mouth, too, regarding illegal immigration.
Perry is a deeply flawed candidate, just admit it. Then we can have a conversation on why we should ignore his RINO tendencies and hold our noses and vote for this turkey.
Perry can shove it. Many here have been warning freepers about Rick Perry and his do nothing, liberal views on illegals for a while now.
Stop trying to use logic with these Palin people. Her position is the same as Perry’s.
I blame the federal government for their mandating freebies be given to these illegals. Stop that and we don't have to prosecute or deport.

The problem is we have no idea who would be better on the issue. Palin probably wouldn’t be better from what she’s said.

We’re gonna get another milquetoast RINO candidate in ‘12. If that is the plan let the great unwashed moderate independents vote him or her in. I want no part of it. If Obama stays at least my enemy is in front of me.
If anything, since hitting the national stage and detaching herself from McCain, her position on illegals has become more conservative. I highly suggest you do some research instead of your failed attempts at trying to attach Palin to Perry's Achilles heel.

I have read the quotes that have been posted here on FR by Palin regarding illegal immigration. The first part sounded fine but when confronted with the realization that deporting the illegals is not logical, she had not further explanation. Please find definitive statements and share but until then I will assume she has not had the same kind of scrutiny on the issue as Perry and as far as I know, none of the other candidates have either.
Than why don’t you run? Where is your 10 out 10 pick? And please don’t say Sarah. She is not running.
If she runs, which I doubt, so far she has been able to get by with only giving speeches and not being questioned.
Please show me where her position on illegals is any different from Perry’s.

He is so naive that he doesn’t understand that their allegiance is to Mexico...not the United States. They do not assimilate in to our society nor do they want to.
I never thought I would say this......but......my eyes have been opened and now Perry will not be considered for my vote, now or never.
It is a relief since I was torn between Perry and Palin and I did not relish choosing one over the other if Sarah joined the race. Now, the only choice is Sarah Palin if she runs.
All I know is that she hasn’t called people heartless because they don’t want to feed and house an educated the criminal children of foreigners. That she hasn’t done to my knowledge. Perry is flawed admit it now or NEVER RESPOND TO ME AGAIN.
Our industry is very capital intensive, and if you look at the overall return on capital employed, we are in the middle of the pack of profitablity. Apple (and many others) makes significantly more profit than any oil firm. How about a ipod windfall profit tax?
Has the IIRIRA been repealed? If not, the in-state tuition for illegals violates federal law. And that’s just with Rick Perry apparently. Which gives voters an excellent opportunity to how seriously he takes an oath of office.
