I don’t know whether Mr. Cain is electable. Setting aside that issue, in my eyes, on qualificatons alone, he is the best of the GOP bunch. What I like about him the most is his ability to get down to our level, look us in the eyes, and tell us what the problems are and what he is going to do about it. Even if he is proven wrong, at least he takes a stand and shows leadership.
If Cain is the nominee, he would only need to net the GOP 10% of the black vote to win. Besides he would get more of the conservative and Independent vote than McCain.
