MACKINAC ISLAND, Mich. – Mitt Romney brushed aside criticism from his chief rival for the Republican presidential nomination Saturday night and accused President Obama of being too ignorant and naïve about the U.S. economy to lead it out of recession. “I just don’t think he’s equipped for what’s happening,” the former Massachusetts governor said. [...]

One Romney aide, speaking on condition of anonymity, overstated Romney’s strength but underscored the team’s cockiness when he said, “It’s over. Perry is toast.”

Personally I don’t know why Perry would waste his time in Mackinaw. That’s a Romney crowd at a genetic level.

No more MSM telling us who our candidates are. No more holding our nose. Finally someone who will look for solutions based on ROI. Finally a problem solver based on data not politics. He will clean Obama’s clock in a debate. If he picks Rubio omg!!!!Rubio versus Bidden. Can you imagine.

The establishment holds power in Michigan but the tea party has considerable influence as well. Palin was well received here because she came to speak to the people.

Every time Perry opens his mouth you have to wonder if he’s going to sound drunk or delusional. Not a good thing, especially when CNN et al have the goods on his lie about Gardisal and exactly when he was lobbied by the woman who eventually died. (Perry says ‘What, you think I can be bribed with a mere 5 grand?’ And anyone listening thinks, well, maybe you really needed the money. )The MSM discusses this with barely controlled satisfaction. ‘Can you trust him, he lied about this...what else is he lying about?’

I don’t see how he can recover.

Don't start using the pronoun "he" in statements without an introductory noun. Who is "he"?

I like Herman quite a bit and would certainly vote for him if he is indeed the candidate.

However, if Jim DeMint or Jake Flake would enter the ring I’d go for them as their conservative record is very clear.

No globalists and no jackass that wants to keep all the lousy agencies of the central socialist government and no candidate that wants to see diversity in his administration. With Obozo we’ve got quite enough queers and reprobates running and ruining our lives!

I’m sure praying that the cream will rise to the top!

I’m just getting a little impatient waiting.

I’m waiting for Jim and Sarah to enter the race...although I like Herman Cain and would vote for him, if it came down to it.
