WESTBROOK - The Fajita Grill Mexican restaurant has reopened, about a week after being raided by federal agents who arrested its owner.

According to Fajita Grill's Facebook page, the restaurant reopened at 4 p.m. Tuesday and was open again Wednesday for lunch and dinner. The page also says stickers that say "I (heart) Fajita Grill" will be available by the end of this week.

The restaurant has received an outpouring of support from patrons since the raid on Sept. 21 by agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Alex Smith, a waitress at the restaurant, said Wednesday that four or five customers and family members of employees have been volunteering their time to wash dishes and serve food at the restaurant.

Eleven employees of the Fajita Grill and the Cancun restaurants in Biddeford and Waterville, which also were raided, are being held in the Cumberland County Jail, a jail official said Tuesday.

Faijta Grill's owner, Guillermo Fuentes, and his brother Hector Fuentes, who owns the Cancun restaurants, were both released from jail on bail Sept. 22.

The brothers are both charged with conspiracy to harbor illegal aliens and employment of illegal aliens.

In a press release, Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday that it recently completed a seven-day nationwide sweep that led to the arrests of 2,900 convicted criminal aliens, including 111 in New England. The release did not say whether those included the owners or employees of the Fajita Grill and Cancun restaurants.

Cancun in Waterville reopened on Sept. 23. No one answered the telephone at the Biddeford location on Wednesday afternoon.

Mexica resturants are like a pipe line moving illegals, they keep them in a house and work them for days for nothing and pay no taxes and move them to another location.

legal hispanics even if they are against illegals back away from the GOPwhen they think we are mean going after illegal.
BUT if we use the employers the same way 0dumbo is using the evil rich i think many more hispanics would side with us

>>four or five customers

Now supposing these customers are U.S. citizens—a shame,
they’re taking work away from illegal aliens who normally would be doing the McLabor jobs that American citizens can’t be bothered doing.... :)

But the aliens got...jailed...

Euphemism for illegal aliens: undocumented workers. To be politically correct myself I now refer to pirate radio stations as “undocumented broadcasters”...

Yes and the caller to Howie Carr said they were sleeping on boxes—in a home? in the eatery?

So are Chinese restaurants, and worse, they are conduites for the communist chinese intelligence agencies. They are used by cowed and intimidated restaurant owners to pass certain folks along, “for patriotic reasons,” and implied retribution against family still in China. It’s a seamless way to move agents into the American scene. A continuous pipeline of Chinese spook safehouses.

That’s REALLY scary. And highly plausible.

They were sleeping on boxes in the basement of the restaurant. Those volunteers/customers should be arrested too!

It's true. And that is the tip of the iceberg, just one dimension of the problem. The chinese have been getting ready to fight many forms of asymmetric warfare for many years. Saboteurs, assassins and agents at large will be a big part of any effort when the time comes.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Wednesday that it recently completed a seven-day nationwide sweep

What do they do for the other 358 days out of the year?

The rate of removal of illegal aliens is like you and me trying to empty a full lake with a medicine dropper in torrential rain.

This program is a good start, and we need 10,000 like this each month starting in Texas and California - let’s only do this though in the red counties, because clearly in the blue counties, the majority thinks illegal aliens are a desirable part of society.

Illegal alien chefs make the best Chinese food. Not that I care much about ethnic food any more. Boot all the Mexican and Chinese illegals who work in restaurants. Doesn’t bother me. I’ll eat at home and at Sweet Tomatoes buffet and at steak houses.
