ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- A panel advising Gov. Andrew Cuomo on ways to revamp Medicaid has proposed that the program that pays for low-income residents' health care cover surgery and therapy for transgender New Yorkers.
Cuomo earlier this year appointed a task force to overhaul the Medicaid system, which paid $53 billion for medical care in New York last year, and cut costs.

Policies like this explain why New York lost 2 congressional districts after the 2011 reapportionment.
Stop covering illegal aliens, stop this kind of wasteful spending and use the money to keep the program running longer.
Oh wait, that would never occur to the elected representatives in NY, as it requires them to be in touch with reality.
It’s not possible to reason with liberals. They do not care one bit about wasting taxpayer money. Plus they live in some type of LA-LA LAND.
It would be okay to cover reality based mental health counseling 4 gender identiity disorder. Mutilating and poisoning a physically healthy individual will not cure a mental illness.

I think San Francisco covers these surgeries for city employees under their health plan.
It makes sense to liberals, in a perverse sort of way. Since we are normalizing the LGBT activities, and the “T” part of that group needs surgery to be who they are inside and all that, it makes liberal sense that we should pay for the required surgeries.
If Obamacare doesn’t already require this, I predict it will become a liberal healthcare cause to be pushed later.

Office visit $12 (the actual rate in CA)
