Seems a bit nit picking to me. I hear the term ‘bullet case’ often. But maybe it’s a colloquial term around here.
Most of the time in the shooting circles I know they’re called “brass casings” or just “brass”. Shooters who reload always “pick up their brass” at the end of a shoot.
