The article states:

His daddy painted over it.

The rock was turned over.

People have read the name for years.

It’s readable now.

The name was going to come back to bite him in the butt.

He and his family have had a hunting lease there for decades.

Ok, something doesn’t add up. If old man Perry was so upset over the name, why did he sign the lease year after year after year? What gave him the right to paint over it? If the rock was turned upside down, then how is anyone able to read it? Perry knows the name could bite him in the butt, however continues to sign the lease when there are other leases he could have found during those 30 years.

This is typical Perry. We’ve tried to tell y’all.

Tried to tell us what? That you people are becoming unhinged in trying to destroy Rick Perry in pursuit of...hell if I know. I guess a Mitt Romney or Obama win. It’s got to be one or the other.

the story is ridiculous and no Freeper that is honest would have taken the side of WAPO if they weren’t so desperate to tear him down. I hated John McCain but even I defended him a couple of times during unreasonable attacks in ‘08. I’ve lost a lot of respect for Palin, but I’m not jumping down threads trying to insinuate where smoke there is fire about that sleazy book. People that are so committed to destroying someone they’ll pursue dishonest attacks...pathetic.
