A nice touch: Knox delivered an impassioned defense of herself yesterday - in Italian - and the Italian people were very moved by it. When the Prosecutor exited the building after the verdict, the crowd jeered him and hurled insults.
This reminds me of Act III in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar", when Brutus' funeral oration is followed by Marc Antony's rabble-rousing barn-burner of a speech. "Brutus is an honorable man... so are they all, honorable men."

The prosecutor called out Knox for being Borderline (Borderline Personality Disorder being an all too common psychological disorder in modern America) and he was accused of being superstitious and iirrational for describing her overall personal qualities as “Satanic” and diabolical...In America, we are secular and far too “enloghtened” to speak in such terms.
Basically it goes like this:
The Knoxes had money (they mortgaged their houses), pedigree/celebrity (if Knox were a minority American, we would have never heard of her), and a savvy PR team on their side. Notice how the American media hardly covers the murder victim nor gives decent airtime to the victim’s family. Nor has anyone sat down to interview the Italian jurors, investigators, and prosecutors who initially convicted her—to get their side of the story.
Yes supposedly our justice system is so great..but really all you need is the power, money, and smarts to work the system and you can even manipulate a foreign court system too.
Don’t even get me started on the fishy supposed “independent team” of investigators who called to question all the damning evidence on the basis of some technicalities.
Regardless of whether Knox literally stabbed Meredith, she clearly had SOME involvement in the ultimate outcome...but she will be invited bsck to America as our sweetheart.
