First Lady Michelle Obama said at a fundraiser in Providence, Rhode Island, on Friday night that a bank where Barack Obama’s grandmother had worked discriminated against her for nearly two decades “because she was a woman.”

However, the Washington Post reported earlier this year that Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, had been the first female vice president of the Bank of Hawaii.

Meanwhile, Barack and Michelle Obamas’ 2009 tax return, posted on the White House website, indicates the Obamas inherited almost $500,000 worth of the bank’s stock from the president’s grandmother.

Considering that lefties are supposed to be soooo internet and tech savvy (as opposed to we neanderthal conservatives) it always surprises me that they will say things that anyone with access to Google could disprove (and publish on the web) in less than 60 seconds.

I’d say dumber than a box of rocks, but a box of rocks is very good at what it does.

I’m avoiding the use of the term “Crony Capitalism”. Ultimately it serves as a smear against all capitalism when it really reflects the worst of the Orwellian view of Socialism. Billionaires telling the lowly farm animals that all animals are created equal while they feast on their sweetheart deals and telling us that WE need to be paying more in taxes because THEY feel bad about those who WANT to actually make some money too having a shot at it.

Yeah, next will be “he had to walk 5 miles to school in the snow, uphill both ways...” I don’t know the last time Hawaii or Indonesia saw snow, but that won’t stop them.

Doesn't everyone get to be a VP in a bank if they work their long enough? At least in the olden-days.

Did Grandma Dunham win the 480K in a sexual discrimination lawsuit, Michelle?

“But for nearly two decades, he’s [sic] watched as she was passed over for promotions. Why? Because she was a woman.

Yea, that's what America was like 35 years ago. It isn't today so what's her point? How is that story relevant to 2011?

Was this the woman described by Barry as a “typical white person”?

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Why would Michelle care if some “typical white person” was passed over for promotion. I guess it’s okay to drag out the dead grandmother when it serves there purpose. I don’t even think Michelle put in an appearance when the grandmother was buried.

In Indonesia, they had a cook, a housekeeper, a “house-boy” (whatever in hell THAT is) and a driver.

AND: Daddy Indonesia’s job was just a sinecure —that means a fake job cooked up to keep somebody busy, usually for some political reason. Mainly he hung out at golf-clubs and went out to dinner.

I’m serious.

Indo had plenty oil, and a legal operating condition for foreign outfits was that they hire local (corrupt) folks, and Daddy Indo was plugged in with the Suhartos.

Obama was NOT poor.
