Hey, College Punks, Occupy This: A JOB.
Boston Herald ^ | October 5, 2011 | Michael Graham

Posted on 10/05/2011 5:03:34 AM PDT by suspects

Attention, Boston: The Occupiers want YOU — to do their laundry.

The Occupation movement featured an online posting on Monday requesting “volunteers” to come to the New York City campsite, pick up the protesters’ laundry, “take it to their home to get it clean and bring it back.”

You know — just like Mom?

Has there ever been such a collection of mewling, puking overgrown babies as the clueless college brats of the “Occupation” — a particularly ironic phrase given how few of these oafs actually have one.

Ask them what they’re protesting and, according to The New York Times [NYT], one leader said, “It doesn’t matter . . .  Just protest.”

Ask them why they’re protesting on the Greenway, and they have no idea. Occupy Boston’s only communication is a letter addressed to “The 1%, Wall St., All Cities, USA.”

“We want our country back,” it said.

Well, kids, here’s a message from working folks: “Go home to Mom and Dad’s basement. We want our Greenway back.”

When the Occupation movement began two weeks ago, the Herald reported that protesters “are angry that they went to college, incurred punishing debt and now cannot find jobs.” Uh . . . OK.

Now that you mention it, if I were a college grad without a job, I might show up in Boston’s financial district, too. But I’d show up with a resume, a suit and a fresh haircut, not a sign reading “End Capitalism NOW!”

Attacking Wall Street because you’re jobless is like burning down Whole Foods because you’re hungry.

Unless, that is, you’re waiting for someone to give you a job. There’s talk from the Occupiers about “giving,” only they mean it in the sense of “taking.”

“Taxing the rich gives us more money to spend on products made here,” one Occupier...

I could end these “occupations” in one hour. Use available equipment to block all wireless communication signals to the occupiers. I guarantee you almost all of them would be gone shortly.

Or be lost without the latest talking point email.

“I could sell them on ebay as genuine protester clothing!”

Put a fake union logo on it (”Look for the Union Label”), or maybe write “I stole this shirt from...”

That seemed popular a while back.

If I lived anywhere near NYC (shudder), I would show up with a bunch of laundry bags and offer to take them and launder them.
Then, I would take them to a dumpster and make a deposit.
They want to forcibly take other people’s property. So I wouldn’t hesitate to take theirs when they voluntarily give it to me.

http://blog.timparkinson.net/2011/09/30/lies-damn-lies-and-photoshop/

The link there says a photo of a large crowd of these “occupiers” which is going around the internet is photoshopped. Down the thread of comments on the link above the original photoshopper admits he did it to exaggerate the numbers of “occupiers” to get people to come and “occupy”.

“”Has there ever been such a collection of mewling, puking overgrown babies as the clueless college brats””

Graham is certainly old enough to remember the ‘60’s....these pukes look and behave (and I’m sure smell) exactly the same as the hippies “of old.” No difference.

I’m almost tempted to go down there with my truck and backs and a registrar. I would dutifully note everyone’s name, add a picture to it and some contact information.

Throw it all in the truck and drive away. After the fire was done, I’d sit down and send each one of these smelly clueless commies a picture of what exactly happened to their possessions.

I guess someone could drag the clean undies through poison oak or sumac.

Our ancestors allegedly infected the Indians with smallpox, although it's a little tough to find these days.

The Occupy Wall Street “Leader” whom Michael Medved had on his show (the one who got a full hour and yet could not really come up with a reason why they were there, or what they hoped to accomplish) had an Ivy League degree, but his only job had been some part-time substitute teaching.

My son graduated from high school in June and started at the local community college in August. All of his friends have gone on to pricey four-year colleges and universities, but in four or five years, he will still have a bachelor's degree in engineering and shouldn't have any debt.

“The “get a Job” chorus really makes little sense right now. There aren’t any.”

Baloney. SOME areas have few/no job openings. Others can’t find enough workers. The software industry is facing a serious shortfall in workers.

And obviously there is an opportunity for a mobile laundry business on Wall St. - anyone waving a “Give Me A Job” sign needs to put it down, get a $1 laundry basket, and start making trips to the laundromat (for a small fee + expenses, of course).

If nothing else, they can turn on their smartphones (!), google “free land” and “tumbleweed homes” and “cheap garden seeds”, buy a bus ticket and go start earning their keep from the land by the sweat of their own brow. Their job, if nothing else, is build a home and start a garden.

There are multiple lessons here:
1. Schools have become government subsidized businesses though the various loan programs available. Anything the government touches X times what it should with a virtual guaranteed payout for these “professors”.
2. A good number of chumps who go to school do so because they have no skills and expect to sit in school for 4 or more years and obtain the sacred medallion that will open the gates up to whatever position at whatever fantasy they have. No reality is instilled in these schools, no one cares to tell anyone paying 75K+ a year to study Woymn studies or ethnocentricity there are few jobs requiring those particular skill sets.
3. After being coddled for years at home and then in school, a good number of these dolts could not cope with being told NO.
4. A tough jobs market but last I heard, the unemployment rate for those with a college degree right now is about 4%. In other words, there are jobs there, take what you can get and work your way up or into another field...unfortunately the coddled feel the the job they want is “owed them” so they sit on their duffs, complain and fall back on their nitwit parents for expenses.

I hope these bozos all have Facebook accounts and are posting pictures of their ‘occupation’.

That way potential employers can search on them and find out if these losers are applying for jobs there.

ho i dould definately take as much of their stuff as I could, and put it on ebay.
they’d never get it back, and i might make a buck or two. sounds win-win to me.

I believe we have bred and raised a large class of unemployable dopes.

I saw this coming years ago. Not that I'm any prophet, but anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together could just look at the trends.

The real truth, and the one everyone is avoiding: we've produced a large underclass -- the poor, the uneducated, the mentally ill, or (same thing) the spoiled offspring of liberal loonies -- and nobody knows what to do with them. They got used to living on the dole; suddenly, the well ran dry & nobody can support them anymore.

I might dismiss them as harmless, but unfortunately I see more rage & violence in years to come.
