Its not an “Islamic shrine” its a mausoleum dedicated to a woman whom Shahjahan loved.

mausoleum shamzaleum, it is an Islamic shrine/tomb/building/shed/outhouse whatever - albeit very pretty and impressive construction - but it is Islamic and when it crumbles to the ground I will only lament the many slaves who died in its construction.

There are a lot better ‘love stories’ to remember.
