Fox News founder Roger Ailes drew gleeful reactions from liberal journalists for explaining his decision to hire Sarah Palin as a contributor because, She was hot and got good ratings. ... The press automatically assumed that Mr. Ailes, 71, meant Mrs. Palin was hot, as in hubba-hubba hot. There was no mention of the possibility that Mr. Ailes could have been referring to hot, as in ratings hot, or buzz hot.

She’s hot all right. But she is pretty damn hot as well.
Sarah is a celebrity. Ailes is in that business. He made a business decision and so did she.
She was paid and given plenty of FOX time to advance her career.
She is still under contract with FOX. My best guess she will appear to comment on the 2012 election on FOX.
The sad note here, is that people were urged to buy the movie on the 4th thinking she was running, when she knew then that she wasn’t.
That was also a business decision. I would figure it was to recoup some of the money Bannon spent on the film.
Truth is, she never actually said she was running and never hired the apparatus to run a campaign. That was out there but it was ignored by so many.
“people were urged to buy the movie on the 4th thinking she was running”
The movie was made by an independent guy with his own money. It would not have been right for Palin to suggest that people not buy the movie.
As you say, if you listened to her, she never threw out signals that she was going to run. She repeated her belief that she could likely be more influential an independent voice, and she repeatedly said her family’s welfare would be a major consideration.
As long as she remains an energetic political voice, I’m fine with her decision. I will accept her not-running announcement as the honest basis of her decision until events prove otherwise.
“Truth is, she never actually said she was running and never hired the apparatus to run a campaign.”
She was ready to go. My feeling is that she and Perry would have had a great deal of trouble separating their brands as they have very similar beliefs.
I am a Sarah supporter but I am fine with this decision. I hope she stays in the political game to torture the MSM and the Demos.
She has done a great service for the country by taking on Obama and I appreciate the effort she has made to right the country.
I think had she announced she was not running prior to the movie release, she would not have had to suggest people not buy the movie.
That would have been the natural reaction.
“had she announced she was not running prior to the movie release...”
I think that up until the day she announced she wasn’t running, she hadn’t decided.
