I don't see Perry as being part of the problem judging by the enemies he has made.
Any problems I have with Herman Cain are fairly minor ones.

Uh-huh; someone-despised-by-my-enemy-must-be-my-friend may work in the Middle East, but it isn’t a sound basis for choosing a presidential candidate in this country.
I’m looking at individual candidate’s stated conservative beliefs and how that is reflected in their performance. My assessments of conservative candidates are based on how their stated core convictions, morals, and presentation of themselves as conservative, match-up with what they actually do.
Researching the background of candidates before the primary season is now a self-imposed requirement of mine. Back in March, 2008, I began researching then Senator Obama. What I discovered was alarming and led to a five month search through blogs, databases, and African publications. It soon became apparent that warning people about this guy, that he had himself, his wife, and his extended family in Kenya, given interviews to African periodicals in which they all said BHO2 was born in Kenya, well, that information was not welcome anywhere on the internet.
My reason for bringing up the past is that I’m looking at research on folks running for the Republican Party’s presidential candidacy.
None of them are perfect.
I am looking for the one who doesn’t just talk about being a conservative, but has lived that credo in their job performance, whether in government or outside of it.
In my estimation, we can do better that Mitt Romney and Rick Perry. There are months to go before the Republican Convention and I am expecting a bruising battle on the convention floor for the very soul of the GOP.
It ain’t over ‘til it’s over.
