"Occupy Wall Street" now in 25 cities (and none of them know what they're yelling about)
cbs ^ | 10/10/2011 | Bigad Shaban

The movement known as "Occupy Wall Street" has spread far beyond its starting point in lower Manhattan. CBS News correspondent Bigad Shaban reports that it now has offshoots in 25 cities nationwide, and political leaders from both sides are weighing in.

From D.C. to Alabama to Portland, demonstrators protest everything from corporate greed to joblessness to economic inequality.

Back in N.Y., 39-year-old Jesse LaGreca is one of the more prominent voices.

"You've got people here being told they need to face a lower standard of living, that we can't pay the wages that we used to enjoy, that the promises that were made to our grandparents are going to be broken," LaGreca said.

LOL, sure, 25 cities with the average turnout being in the very low 100’s and in some cases under 100.

If this were a Tea party or other Conservative “happening” this same liberal media would be braying over its total irrelevance and utter failure.

I agree with Billy Kristol on this one: The Pubbies (like Eric Cantor) need to back off and leave this one alone. Let Nancy Peolosi, The Dems and the Unions claim these people. They will soon be shown to be the “misfits” they are and will embarrass those who’ve allied with them. Besides, the 1st Amendment guarantees Free Speech even to lazy, ill-informed, youth who follow the mob with no direction or understanding as to why. My advice to the GOP: Leave them alone. Let this play out. Don’t touch it.

It’s a shame to say this, but, your cousin’s 28 y.o. son is in the minority these days. Back in the day, young men like him were the majority. He is a fine young man; you must be proud.

Friggin lame street leftist snooze media is SERIOUSLY trying to pump this anti-Capitalist movement. The internet, print media and radio waves are loaded with glowing supportive pieces. It’s beyond sickening how they always cover for commies, be it WTO rioting or the bogus so-called “anti-war” rallies. I say so-called anti-war because the organizers are only opposed to American military actions. They’ve never met a violent leftist uprising or revolution that they weren’t fully behind. Hard to really be about “peace and love” when you worship mass murderers like Mao and Che, or defend a monster like Saddam Hussein.

Yes, disgusting and shameful doesn't begin to describe it.

Cencus states in 2002, there were 19,000 municipal governments throughout the US, but as many as 30,000 incorporated cities.

So .083% of cities are affected.

Can you give a reference for that?
I can’t find a count anywhere.

Yes, they should be protesting at the WH - instead, if they are not too stoned, they will vote for Obama as many times as they can get away with it (and are paid to do it).

Hey, a person has to make a living somehow!

When my husband was a Navy chief, he had to counsel a young man on money. This young man was in financial hot water because he didn't understand that getting money from the ATM took money from his account. He thought it was free money. I'm not joking.

He is also married, owns his own house and has two cars. Why can’t the “fleabaggers” in New York City do similar ?

Because there is a large section of the younger generation that hasn't figured out if they worked half as much as they whined, they'd BE there by now.

I know your question was probably rhetorical, but I couldn't resist - :-)

Notice that they only voice their "grievances" - none offer any suggestions or demands for solutions to their complaints.

I think that is by design - the organizers know that if people heard what they actually propose to be done about "corporate greed", "Wall Street", "1%", etc., opposition to them would solidify.

Their Soros handlers have instructed them to just use the "1%/99%", "coporate greed", "big money in politics" mantras and don't broach the subject of what they expect to be done.

Would paying people to riot be the same as inciting a Riot??

My cousin’s son is 28,never went to college, works in a body shop in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. He makes over $900.00 /week after taxes and didn’t have a clue what “Occupy Wall Street’ was when I asked him.He is also married, owns his own house and has two cars. Why can’t the “fleabaggers” in New York City do similar ?

Probably because your cousin's son didn't waste precious money taking a "Women's Studies" or "Queer Studies" or "Communications" major in college, only to find that jobs for holders of such degrees are nonexistent or very few.
