Little Rhodies are even dumber than Massholes!!

I met a few Rhode Islanders on a flight a few months back - they are not amused with their state's terrible economy, and they were very vocal in their complaints.

Perhaps the folks you met on the flight are the three or four non union Conservatives in the State!
Rhodies, as a whole vote pro union, pro labor, Big D.
Their livelihoods depend on it.

On a road trip to the west last summer my kids played "license plate bingo", seeing who could spy out license plates from all fifty states first. naturally, Hawaii and Alaska were holdouts. the last state finally seen, after a week or more, and then only once, was Rhode Island.

These peculiar, isolated people appear to need to merge with a real state next door and let California split in two to keep the fifty state configuration.

Rhode Island is a stagnant historical anomaly that has no reason to exist.
