I just found out that Cain has raised another 2 million since the report deadline 2 weeks ago!

I wanted to post the article but the desmoines register is blocked on this site.

Go Cain!

"Cain - 1.33 million Romney - $1.94 million"

Where did these number come from? I read that Perry has $15 million cash on hand and Romney has $14. million. I am a Cain supporter, but I do not want to raise false hopes.

If he needs to win Iowa, why is he campaigning in TN?

That info is scattered in other publications.

From the LA Times
http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-cain-fundraising-20111015,0,1026792.story?track=rss

Herman Cain, the businessman whose fortunes as a presidential candidate are rising in national polls, raised $2 million for his campaign in just the last two weeks, his campaign reported Saturday.

That amount comes in addition to the $2.8 million he reported raising on his official filing to the Federal Election Commission for the last quarter, which closed at the end of last month.

end snip

I am not saying this to be snarky but giving what I think is good sound advice. It's your money and you do with it what you want but I would never take from my savings to give to any risky politician.

Cain does not seem to be helping himself very much by what he is doing and where he's doing it.

This was as of September 30, just as Cain's rocket ride was beginning. The Florida straw poll that catapulted him to the first rank of contenders was on September 24.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has already matched this amount since Oct 1.

Sorry, I trusted the article which was misleading, I went the actual SEC filling page and found that Romney actually still has 14 million cash on hand.

http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/dcdev/forms/C00431171/748283/

The article implied that he only had 1.94 million left, but what it really said was that he had spent all but 1.94 million of what he raised in the period, BUT he had 12.7 million when the period started, giving him 14 million or so now.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The $1.94 million appears to be the difference in third quarter revenue and spending, nit total cash on hand. He started the quarter with a substantial amount of COH:

"The other high-dollar fundraiser in the presidental race, Mitt Romney, has an overall cash flow advantage on Perry because he got started earlier. He began the quarter with $12.7 million on hand. But at $14.2 million received, he raised less than Perry in the third quarter. Romney spent $12 million in the third quarter on operating expenditures."

You need to add that $1.94 million surplus from the third quarter to the existing $12.7 million he already had. It would appear that he has $14.64 million cash on hand.

While the media was claiming that Bachmann was broke, for example, her Super PAC was running ads against Perry in SC.

WHY? Perry is not threat. Why isn't she running ads against Romney? It's time Freepers woke up to what Bachmann and Cain are doing. I have lost all respect for both of them. They are in the tank for Romney.

Because he’s leading in Iowa, and there’s been no poll yet in TN.

TN/KY/IN/MS/AL/MO/OH should be in his targets right now. Everything east of the Mississippi, that went to Bush Jr.
