WASHINGTON - The Pentagon is watching for the possibility that Israel could use the occasion of an alleged Iranian plot to kill the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States as a pretext for launching a long-anticipated attack on Iran's nuclear sites, according to a report from Joseph Farah G2 Bulletin.
The source, who is in a position to monitor Israeli defense activities, said the U.S. is watching "an indicator and warning matrix" in which the U.S. can "go so far as to plot the illumination tables to pick out what nights would be best" for such an attack.
The intelligence source said that there is "a green light" for the Israelis "to do a strike."
The source said that the concern among some U.S. analysts is that an attack could be "imminent."

How are the Israelis going to get to Iran and back? From what I have read the Israelis airforce planes do not have the range to go to Iran, spend time bombing the facilities and then return. Have they now acquired the necessary aircraft?
They have permission from Saudi Arabia to flyover. Yes, believe it or not.
The Sunni’s have taken Israel under their wing because we’re essentially in the middle of a third Fitna (muslim civil war).
I don’t trust WND whatsoever. They’re usually way off the mark. Say what you will about DEBKA but they are far more accurate.
Iran has pointedly stated if they are attacked they will shut down the straights. I’m curious what they have to back that up.

We recently gave 55 “Bunkerbusters” to Israel. Can they be successfully attached to a cruise missle? The “Bunkerbuster” is necessary to successfully attack hardened nuclear sites.

I don’t think Israel has the capacity for such fueling. Further, could the type of attack craft Israel does have carry the necessary “Bunkerbuster” bomb?
They have a limited ability to do so, but I highly doubt that the Israelis are pulling the trigger. The US is totally opposed to this, as it would give the Iranians the excuse that they need to start more crap. American and Zionist imperialism, ya know.
We need to hold back until there is a regime change and keep them under extreme surveillance. The Iranians have to act or there has to be concrete evidence that they are going to in order to justify any strike.
They supposedly have nuclear ballistic missles. No?
I am of two minds about this.
1. He will attack to push the world into greater conflict, thus increasing the possibility of martial law and suspended elections.
2 He will softshoe and dither until 2012 so the Republican party can inherit this mess. After all, WE are the warmongers. /sarc
