How is the 9 percent business tax not a value added tax?

What is the difference between that and current embedded business taxes?

it’s real clear...the 999 is not added to any tax code...his approach is to gut the tax plan completely suppoerted w a 999 type transparent tax code

and why Cain screams this is not value added

If I understand it correctly, a VAT is added to the product when improvements are made to the raw materials. It will be passed along, eventually, to the computer in a rise in the wholesale cost of an item. A business tax is a tax on a business’s gross income and will be passed on the consumer, not based on the individual products, but as an across-the-board increase much like the electricity, plumbing and maintinence costs of a factory.

I could be wrong.
