Perry's military aviation service is commendable, but you attach way too much significance to it. By your standard, George McGovern should have been made POTUS by acclamation.
BTW: Yes I have served in the military. Yes I have flown airplanes (OK helicopters). No, I have not, like Ann Richards or Rick Perry, been Governor of Texas.
I have no hero worship and simply put up some of Perry’s service background. Do any of the other candidates have such a service backgroud? If so post it.
Perry’s military service simply means he served his country and did so honorably as far as I can tell. This was completed before he ever entered politics.
I see that he serves honorably as a governor of the State of Texas, even in the face of much opposition from the federal government on his border policy and has been harassed by Obamas EPA as a direct result,yet he has remained staunch, and can see no reason he would not serve with honor as president.
If you have this evidence on any other candidate indicating honorable service, please post it.
